Background

Caroline was one of those little girls that wanted to grow up, get married, and start a big family. She was one of those girls that envied anyone that was married. She was one of those girls that went to college only to find a husband. She was not, however, one of those girls that pretended her college education would be anything but a Mrs. degree. Caroline studied home economics and did so proudly since it taught her many of the skills that would make her a good wife and mother. She was also active in the local catholic church, and a member of the young Republicans. That was where she met the man she would marry, Victor van de Coif. He was the president of the club, and she nothing more than a freshman, but from the start they both felt it was fate. While Caroline limited her collegiate activies so that she could focus on Victor, her boyfriend seemed to be a master at having endless energy. Not only was he a double major in political science and business, but he was also the chair of Phi Kappa Alpha fundraiser commitiee. He also spoke fluent Russian. Many of their dates were either studying together in the library or frat parties. And while Victor got his MBA, Caroline planned their wedding.

Magazines don't have weddings as detailed and planned as the van de Coif wedding. It was the perfect day for both of them. And when Victor moved Caroline to a small Missouri town while he traveled for work, she decorated her home in their wedding colors and put up pictures of the festivities, telling Victor they would soon get replaced by pictures of children, when the time was right. But that time would never happen. Only a few months into their marriage, Caroline was shocked awake by a crashing sound from downstairs. Picking up the pearl handled .38, she crept downstairs and fired at the large furry shape in her posh sitting room. Instead of finding some lost dog or prankster, she found her husband changing from a ramping beast with a wound in his arm. Caroline screamed and fainted, but when she came to, she remembered everything. In the fight that followed, she demanded he leave the house. Realizing that she needed time to adjust to the idea of being married to a werewolf, Victor graciously agreed to leave until she had been given sufficient time to adjust. It was agreed she would tell people he was in Russia on business.

When Victor left, Caroline redid the house in soft pastels and hid all the wedding pictures. Because she could not tolerate the idea of divorce, she keeps wearing her wedding band, but not her engagement ring. She does not want to get back together with her husband. Although she will not admit it outloud, she hopes the next time she sees her husband, she will have a gun between the two of them. Instead of spending her time planning for babies and barbaques with the neighbors, she reads occult websites, books, and newsletters to keep herself up to date on the comings and goings of the world of monsters.

Apperance

Caroline has long black hair that nearly reaches her waist. She usually wears it up in french buns to hide its length. Her bright green eyes tilt slightly in the corners, giving away her French heritage. Her aristocratic nose is dotted with freckles that she used to keep hidden, but now lets them show. Her full lips are well shaped and rose petal pink. She is of middling hieght, just reaching 5'5" with an hourglass shape. She dresses conservatively in sweater sets, jeans, and high heeled boots. She always wears a string of pearls around her neck that were a gift from her mother at her wedding. Caroline carries on as if she has no secrets, in public worrying about etiquette, social graces, and the safety of the children in the neighborhood.
