++Background

A good Lutheran man who graduated high school barely and went to work in his father's butcher shop. He took over when his father retired. For three years a man was showing up to buy pig's blood that Pete was going to throw out anyway. Eventually he found the man breaking into his shop and refused him service so the guy attacked him. Pete put a cleaver in his head. He freaked out a tad when he burst into ashes but hey, he'd seen weirder.

Cheiron picked him up a few days later.

All he knew after that was he was offered to keep creatures like the man who had broken into his shop far away from people like his family. Turned out Pete had somehow managed to avoid something called Dominate. Pete didn't quite know what that was, but they said because of it they had hopes he could manage some kind of surgery that would make him stronger. So he went through with it, and wasn't quite sure WHAT had happened. But since then whenever he saw a kill, he'd get weird thoughts in his head. Urges to go kill things. He managed to always overcome those urges, often through the help of his faith and his daughter's happiness. He'd go to hell and back to keep her safe. And what Cheiron didn't tell him was, he probably already did.
